The Climate Election Check

Online Tool for comparing different political parties

Klimawahlcheck Logo

The Climate Election Check is an online tool for comparing political parties on climate and nature conservation issues. The comparison is based on the election programs of the largest parties, for example for the federal and European elections. Users answer around 20 questions on climate and nature conservation topics and can see how the parties respond to these questions. The Climate Election Check shows which parties pursue ambitious climate and nature conservation policies – and which do not. This allows users to find out where they stand within the party spectrum and make an informed voting decision.

The Climate Election Check was first developed for the 2021 federal election. The tool was accessible via the website klimawahlcheck.org. The climate election check has been relaunched at klimawahlcheck.eu for the 2024 European elections. Here you can find the archive pages from the Klimawahlcheck Bundestagswahl 2021 and Klimawahlcheck Europawahl 2024.
