The power of positive networking
An insight into our alliances and networks
“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts” – this is the fundamental principle we follow. Because only together can we achieve consistent climate protection! It takes all of us!
Protect the Planet is actively involved in various climate networks.
In Munich and Bavaria, we have good relationships with local activists and organizations. We are actively involved in local networks such as Klimanetz München (Munich Climate Network) and “Stop Right-wing Extremism – Defend Democracy” – working towards a climate-positive and democratic Munich.
We are actively involved in the work of Klima-Allianz Deutschland e.V. (Climate Alliance Germany) and are a member of the German Federal Association for Sustainable Business.
With our wind energy networking project ‘Der WindRat’, we even maintain our own network, which is active nationwide.
We are active in the European umbrella organization of climate protection organizations, the Climate Action Network Europe (CAN-E), and in Beyond Fossil Fuels, the network for phasing out combustion.
Our name says it all – we also maintain contacts and partnerships globally, and we cultivate a wide range of collaborations and contacts at UN climate conferences.
It goes without saying that we also base our collaborations and partnerships on our values, which are non-negotiable.
In addition to established alliances, we maintain contacts with other NGOs, legal networks, activists, politicians, and celebrities—we network, strengthen, and connect altruistically.

climate dividend
CO₂ prices must rise to protect the climate – but not without a social compensation mechanism. Sign the petition for the introduction of a climate dividend!

People’s Petition to “Keep the City Green”
Green spaces are the “lungs of the city” – and urgency is required to save and maintain them in the face of ongoing global warming, heatwaves and extreme drought conditions. This is why we campaigned in Munich in particular for de-sealing and the retention of green spaces and woodland areas: ultimately succeeding with the People’s Petition “Keep the City Green”.

“Unternehmen Klimaschutz” – Corporate Climate Action
With our project “Unternehmen Klimaschutz” (Climate Protection Companies), we are encouraging companies to reduce their CO2 emissions and leveraging their influence on politics and the public. Many companies are already seriously committed to climate justice. Instead of greenwashing or empty promises, they lead the way by good example and promote meaningful action on climate change.

Save the Bees
The biggest threat to humanity, apart from the climate crisis, is the decline in biodiversity. The referendum “Biodiversity and Natural Beauty in Bavaria,” better known as “Save the Bees,” addressed precisely this issue and became the most successful referendum ever in Bavaria in 2019.

Stop using hard coal
The burning of coal is the most environmentally harmful form of energy generation and makes a significant contribution to climate change. While there has been much discussion nationwide about the urgent need to exit from lignite coal mining, the burning question in Munich was how to close down the hard-coal-fired power plant HKW Nord.
Our vision:
to stop the
climate crisis
We help prevent the climate catastrophe and make our planet just and liveable.
Current events

Grün geht nur gerecht. Wer entscheidet über die nötige Transformation – und wie?
Am 21.04.2026 findet um 19 Uhr ein Vortrag zum Thema nachhaltige Transformation von Caspar Dohmen in München statt.
There is still too little known about the climate crisis and what we can do to avert it. To bridge this gap, our Climate Talks aim to provide information on many different aspects of climate change with a particular focus on specific things we can do ourselves.
Numerous experts join us in exploring the pressing questions of our time.
